Day Before trip

Location: Grand Junction

Activity: Fly into Grand Junction Airport

Accommodation: Airport Hotel

Fly into Grand Junction Airport and stay at airport hotel. Wind down and prepare for a packed week of hiking.

Day 1

Location: Canyonlands National Park - Island in the Sky

Activity: Hike White Rim Overlook (1.8 miles Easy) & the Grandview Point (1.8 miles Easy)

Accommodation: Sun Outdoors Moab

Meet the tour guides at the Grand Junction airport hotel and depart at 8:00 AM to drive to Canyonlands. Hike White Rim Overlook Trail and the Grandview Point Trail.Stop at Schafer Overlook, Mesa Arch, and Visitor’s Center. Go to camp for the night.

Day 2

Location: Canyonlands National Park - Needles District

Activity: Hike Chesler Park Viewpoint (5.5 mi, moderate)

Accommodation: Sun Outdoors Moab

Wake up and make breakfast at camp. Pack lunch and drive over to the Chesler Park trailhead. Hike 5.5 miles, moderate. Head back to camp for the night for dinner.

Day 4

Location: Dead Horse State Park

Activity: Hike Big Horn Overlook via East Rim, West Rim, and Bighorn Overlook Loop (8.2 mi, moderate)

Accommodation: Sun Outdoors Moab

Wake up and make a group breakfast at camp, and pack your lunches for the hike. Drive the van over to Dead Horse State Park. Hike Big Horn Overlook via East Rim, West Rim, and Bighorn Overlook Loop. Drive back to camp to make dinner and watch sunset.

Day 3

Location: Moab

Activity: Canyoneering

Accommodation: Sun Outdoors Moab

Breakfast at camp before Canyoneering Guided Tour. Go back to camp to make lunch and shower. Walk into town to shop around and have dinner at a restaurant.

Day 5

Location: Monument Valley

Activities: Guided Navajo Jeep Tour

Accommodation: Sun Outdoors Moab

Make breakfast at camp and pack lunches. Drive over to guided Navajo Jeep Tour (2.5 hours) to see the coolest sights and learn the history of Monument Valley. Head back to camp for dinner and fire.

Day 6

Location: Arches National Park

Activities: Hike Devil’s Garden (8.1 mi, strenuous)

Accommodation: Sun Outdoors Moab

Make breakfast at camp and pack lunch. Drive over to Arches National Park. Hike Devil’s Garden Trail. After the hike head back to camp to make dinner.

Day 7

Location: Arches NP to Grand Junction

Activity: Hike Delicate Arch (3.2 mi, moderate)

Accommodation: Airport hotel

Get up EARLY to drive to Delicate Arch Trail (3.2 mi, moderate) for sunrise. Check out some cool viewpoints like Balanced Rock and Fiery Furnace on the way back to camp. Break camp and grab a restaurant lunch in Moab before heading back to Grand Junction.

Day after trip

Location: Grand Junction to home

Activities: Fly out of Grand Junction

Accommodation: Wherever home is for you :)

Wake up in the airport hotel and unwind or explore until your flight leaves. Feel free to go through your camera roll and reminisce on all of our new memories together!

  • This trip will include a combination of meals cooked at camp and some meals dining out when passing through towns. We believe a main part of the experience is cooking meals together in nature, which is why many dinners and breakfasts will be spent at camp. We like to blend that with some meals in towns to give the opportunity to explore the more urban side of the places we will visit.

    We will also provide food to prepare your packed lunch for the trail, and a variety of snack options to bring with you for activities.

    We can also accommodate dietary restrictions (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, kosher, etc.). Please make sure to specify any dietary restrictions at sign up so the guides can prepare in advance.

Policies and disclaimers

  • Juni wants nothing more than for you to escape on one of our adventures. However, we understand emergencies do occur that may cause you to cancel your reservation. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

    Refunds will be given as outlined below based on days prior to trip arrival.

    Within 48 hours of booking: Fully Refundable

    91 + Days from trip start date: Full refund less $200.

    90 Days or less from trip start date: No Refund.

    No exceptions will be granted to our Cancellation policy.

    We reserve the right to cancel trips with inadequate participant attendance, in which case all money paid to Juni LLC will be fully refunded. Juni LLC CANNOT be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries or tour cancellations.

    Juni reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such person’s behavior, health or mental condition impede the operation of the trip.

    Juni reserves the option to modify trip itineraries at the discretion of your tour director as necessary due to weather, conditions, illness, injury, group dynamics, safety, or other unforeseen incidents.

    We strongly encourage you to purchase Traveler Protection Insurance. Travel Insurance is available from WorldNomads.com.

  • The traveler acknowledges that the nature of the trip may be adventurous and participation involves a degree of personal risk. It is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information, including applicable health risks and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks attendant upon such travel. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability in relation to these additional risks.

  • It is your responsibility to obtain information and to have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to the destination you visit on your trip. This may include a valid passport and all travel documents required by us and/or the relevant governmental authorities including all visas, permits and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies. Your passport must be valid 6 months after the last date of travel with is as set out on your itinerary. You accept full responsibility for obtaining all such documents, visas and permits prior to the start of the trips, and you are solely responsible for the full amount of costs incurred as a result of missing or defective documentation. You agree that you are responsible for the full amount of any loss or expense incurred by us that is a direct result of your failure to secure or be in possession of proper travel documentation.

  • Our trip prices are subject to variable and seasonal pricing, both of which are standard practice within the travel industry. This means our trip prices may vary at any time in accordance with demand, market conditions and availability. It is likely that different passengers on the same trip have been charged different prices. Your best option if you like the price you see is to book at that time.
