Policies and Disclaimers

  • Juni wants nothing more than for you to escape on one of our adventures. However, we understand emergencies do occur that may cause you to cancel your reservation. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

    • All cancellations must be in writing and emailed to Juni.

    • For a full refund, Client may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice to Juni within 48 hours after booking.

    • Cancellations received 91 days or more from the scheduled itinerary start date will receive a full refund less a $200 cancellation fee.

    • Cancellations received 90 days or less from the scheduled itinerary start date are non-refundable.

    • Juni may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice to Client.

    • Juni may, in its discretion, cancel any proposed itinerary that does not meet the requisite participation, in which case all funds paid to Juni will be fully refunded.

    • Juni reserves the right to decline to retain any Client in its discretion based on behavior, health, or physical and mental conditions.

    • Client agrees that Juni is not liable for any expenses lost because of modifications to itineraries or tour cancellations.

    We strongly encourage you to purchase Traveler Protection Insurance. Travel Insurance is available from WorldNomads.com.

  • You are advised that there are inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death, while engaging in hiking activities. By engaging in hiking activities and in accordance with the terms of this Release you hereby assume all risks of injury or death.

    1. Inherent Risks. Client acknowledges there are inherent Risks (defined below) associated with guided hiking, trekking, climbing, mountaineering, biking, whitewater rafting, ziplining, and e-biking (“Activities”) and the use of equipment associated with the foregoing Activities (“Equipment”). Client hereby expressly assumes all Risks associated with participating in such Activities. The inherent Risks include but are not limited to tripping, slipping, and falling while hiking, sprained joints and ligaments, broken or fractured bones, injury due to human error (miscommunications between Client and Juni, Client’s inexperience, and Client’s complacency or overconfidence), failure or malfunctioning of bicycles, weather conditions, wildlife encounters, insect stings or bites, exposure to the elements, poisonous plants, loose rock and debris, psychological stress, physical exertion, heat stroke, dehydration, exhaustion, hypothermia, altitude sickness, hazards stemming from surface and subsurface conditions; the limited availability of emergency medical care; and the potential of a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute injury to the participant or others, such as not acting within such participant’s ability (collectively, “Risks”).

    2. Assumption of the Risk.

    • Client affirms that Client is voluntarily choosing to participate in the Activities and use the Equipment. Client affirms that Client is choosing to receive services related to the Activities and the Equipment from Juni pursuant to a Services Agreement. Client represents that Client is in good health and physically able to participate in the Activities and use the Equipment. Client is fully aware of the Risks and assumes all Risks in connection therewith and expressly waives any claims for any injury or loss arising therefrom. Client agrees to abide by and follow Juni’s direction, instruction, rules and regulations which shall be available from time to time. Client assumes all Risks therefor and warrants a full and fair disclosure of Client’s abilities has been made to Juni.

    • Client agrees to assume any and all Risks involved in or arising out of Client’s use of Equipment or any other tools or devices pertaining to the Activities provided by Juni and its personnel.

    3. Release. Client expressly releases Juni from any and all claims for personal injury or property damage, even if caused by negligence by Juni or its representatives, agents or employees.

    4. Indemnification. CLIENT AGREES TO HOLD HARMLESS, INDEMNIFY AND DEFEND JUNI AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, CAUSES OF ACTION, DAMAGES, JUDGMENTS, ORDERS, COSTS OR EXPENSES, INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES, WHICH MAY IN ANY WAY ARISE FROM OR BE IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH

    CLIENT’S RECEIPT OF SERVICES FROM JUNI, OR CLIENT’S USE OF JUNI’S PROPERTY OR FACILITIES, OR CLIENT’S USE OF A THIRD-PARTY’S PROPERTY OR FACILITIES.

    5. Time Limitation. Any action brought under this Release shall be brought within one year of the incident or accident giving rise to said claim.

    6. Waiver. Client agrees to waive the protection of any applicable statutes in this jurisdiction whose purpose, substance and/or effect is to provide that a general release shall not extend to claims, material or otherwise, which the person giving the release does not know or suspect to exist at the time of executing said release.

    7. Dispute Resolution. Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Commercial Expedited Procedures. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The arbitration shall be governed by North Carolina state law. Each party will, upon written request of the other party, promptly provide the other with copies of all relevant documents. There shall be no other discovery allowed. The arbitration will be based on the submission of documents and there shall be no in-person or oral hearing. If breach of this Agreement results in arbitration, the losing party in such arbitration shall pay the prevailing party’s legal fees and costs.

    8. Miscellaneous. This Release is the entire understanding between the parties regarding the subject matter hereof and supersedes all previous agreements regarding the subject matter hereof. This Release shall not be changed unless such change is in writing and signed by the parties. Any ambiguity found in this Release shall not be construed against the drafter. This Release may be executed in one or more counterparts, or electronically, and shall be deemed an original.

    I’VE HAD SUFFICIENT OPPORTUNITY TO READ THIS ENTIRE RELEASE. I’VE READ THIS RELEASE, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, SIGNED IT FREELY AND WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT OR ASSURANCE OF ANY NATURE, GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND INTEND IT TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY. BY SIGNING THIS RELEASE, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IF ANYONE IS HURT OR PROPERTY IS DAMAGED DURING MY PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES WITH JUNI, I MAY BE FOUND IN A COURT OF LAW TO HAVE WAIVED MY RIGHT TO MAINTAIN A LAWSUIT AGAINST JUNI ON THE BASIS OF ANY CLAIM FROM WHICH I HAVE RELEASED THEM HEREIN AND AGREE THAT IF ANY PORTION OF THIS RELEASE IS HELD TO BE INVALID THE BALANCE, NOTWITHSTANDING, SHALL CONTINUE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.

  • Juni LLC has the ability to create its own payment plans for clients who wish to purchase a trip and not pay in full at time of checkout. Below are program parameters:

    • We can set up plans to be paid in full 30+ plus days prior to the trip start date. The plans are set up in equal monthly installments. We can also customize plans in some situations.

    • Payment plan requests can be sent to abby@travelwithjuni.com and as long as we have your preferred trip location and date, we can calculate exact terms for a payment plan.

    • Our payment plans cannot be selected through the website’s booking page and the request must be sent to the above email address and we will complete the booking process.

    • Our pay plans have no fees or interest charges.

    • The trip spot will be confirmed once the first payment is received and our information sheet is completed.

    • Juni LLC reserves the right to remove someone from the confirmed trip list if they become 30 days or more past due on any monthly payment invoice.

  • It is your responsibility to obtain information and to have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to the destination you visit on your trip. This may include a valid passport and all travel documents required by us and/or the relevant governmental authorities including all visas, permits and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies. Your passport must be valid 6 months after the last date of travel with is as set out on your itinerary. You accept full responsibility for obtaining all such documents, visas and permits prior to the start of the trips, and you are solely responsible for the full amount of costs incurred as a result of missing or defective documentation. You agree that you are responsible for the full amount of any loss or expense incurred by us that is a direct result of your failure to secure or be in possession of proper travel documentation.

  • Our trip prices are subject to variable and seasonal pricing, both of which are standard practice within the travel industry. This means our trip prices may vary at any time in accordance with demand, market conditions and availability. It is likely that different passengers on the same trip have been charged different prices. Your best option if you like the price you see is to book at that time.

  • Juni reserves the option to modify trip itineraries at the discretion of your tour director as necessary due to weather, conditions, illness, injury, group dynamics, safety, or other unforeseen incidents.

  • Juni reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such person’s behavior, health or mental condition impede the operation of the trip.
